Atmos Gallery runs in your browser. Your images are read on your device, your palettes are never held on a server, and a shared link tells us nothing about who opened it.
The palette is extracted on your own machine: the image is read into a canvas, clustered in OKLCH, and discarded. The full-size image is never uploaded.
One thing does leave, and only when you ask for a palette to be named: a thumbnail of roughly 320 px, together with the hex values, goes to Anthropic's API for the reading. Nothing goes with it: no filename, no account, no identifier. We don't keep it, and Anthropic doesn't train on it. If that call fails, the tool names the palette locally instead and nothing is sent at all.
Your library lives in this browser's local storage, under a handful of first-party keys beginning palette-generator. There is no server holding it and no account attached to it. Clearing your browser data deletes it, so if a palette matters to you, use Back up to keep a copy on your own disk.
A shared link encodes the palette in the part of the URL after the #. Browsers never send that part to a server, so opening one tells us nothing.
No accounts, no ads, no cookies at all. The site runs on Vercel, which keeps standard access logs: your IP address and user-agent, as any web server must. Two cookieless tools measure the site itself: Vercel Web Analytics for visit counts and Speed Insights for loading speed. Neither identifies you, follows you to other sites, or sees anything you do inside the tool. A tracker blocker stops both, and the tool works exactly as before.
We rely on legitimate interests for that, to serve the site and to know roughly how many people use it. Interpretation is different: it happens because you asked for a palette to be read.
Two processors, both under a written agreement and both in the United States: Vercel Inc. hosts the site, Anthropic PBC performs the reading. Those transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Standard Contractual Clauses. Vercel lists its sub-processors at security.vercel.com. There is no one else: no ad network, no third-party analytics, no CRM, no hosted fonts.
We keep nothing ourselves. Vercel discards the hash that tells visits apart after 24 hours, and its runtime logs after a day; Anthropic publishes its retention at privacy.claude.com. Your palettes last as long as you keep them.
You can ask for a copy of your data, or have it corrected or deleted. Write to hello@kau.studio and we will answer within a month. One honest limit: we hold no accounts and no identifiers, so there is usually nothing linking a log entry to you, and where we cannot identify you we cannot act. You can complain to your local data protection authority, or to Datatilsynet in Denmark, which supervises us.
